College students from different universities around Claremont turn to temporary storage units when the time to move out of dormitories comes. It’s normal for students to change dormitories especially if the college administration reshuffles on a yearly basis. For those who live nearby, packing and shipping their belongings home will be easy. However, for those who live in other city, state or perhaps country, moving out becomes a big problem.
Fortunately, there are companies that offer temporary storage units. For Claremont residents, you have the option to rent a portable storage pod. You can even rent a unit with your roommate to cut down on the cost. A standard pod measures 8′ x 5′ x 7′ and can pretty much hold a roomful of your belongings.
The unit will be delivered to your dorm, and you can pack at your own pace. Once done, the unit together with your belongings will be driven to a secure storage center, and will stay there until you’re ready to move back in to your new dorm room. This way you don’t have to haul everything back to your hometown.

I wished we had this kind of solution before when I was in college! But it's really great the college students have this option now. Kudos to Emily for sharing this post!
